Split Set
Split Set is a friction rock bolt defined as a high strength steel pipe with a slotted structure. This bolt is applied by placing it in a hole that is slightly narrower than its outer diameter by 1-2 mm. The structure of Split Set creates a friction anchor between the ground and this anchor is supported by the radial spring force provided by the compression of the pipe along the entire length of the bolt.
Ease of Application
Split Set application is quite simple and can be easily performed by trained personnel. The bolt should be firmly inserted into the rock until a slight deformation is seen in the plate, without being driven excessively. This process increases ground stability by providing a reliable connection.
Areas of Use
Split Set is widely used in many mines around the world for various mining applications. Thanks to its high strength and easy applicability, it offers an effective solution in ground support and reinforcement operations in mines. Split Set increases the stability of the ground, minimising the risk of collapse or slippage and helping to carry out mining projects safely.
